Bereavement and Beyond

Welcome to My World...

Hi there!

I'm Becci, I'm a 39 year old who is just trying to adapt to a brave new world without their dad.

I'm not claiming to be an expert on bereavement - as a GP I have supported many people who have experienced loss, but this in no way prepares you for when your own time comes. In grief, one size definitely does not fit all. Everyone is different and it's impossible to know how you will react and cope until it happens. One thing I do know for sure is that on July 14th 2022 my life and the life of many people around me changed forever.

This blog will not be all doom and gloom - even in grief we are allowed to smile and be lighthearted - we are allowed to feel all the emotions! I aim to give my experience of grief and some practical tips along the way.

Thank you for stopping by!

I'm glad you found my little blog, and I hope you are too! I hope to see you again soon. If you don't like the blog then just scroll on, if you've enjoyed it come back soon and spread the word!

I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve lost friends and family but the last three years have been horrible. I lost my dad in 2019 my sister in 2020 and my mom dec 2022. This was the last straw for me and I broke. Each day is different, some good some not great other just horrible. I smile on good days and cry on bad days. Nothing can ever prepare you for losing your loved one, especially your parents. I know there here with me, but god I I hurt and miss them. But I’ll sure do them proud. Thank you for sharing your blog. Keep care and take care xx
